Homemade Laundry Detergent (but as a gift?!)

I am very well accustomed to making a homemade laundry detergent similar to what’s offered over at Great Oak Circle.  After all, I’m cheap as heck!  But to take that recipe, jar it, and use it as a totally droolable, infinitely adorable, better-than-oatmeal, gift in a jar?!  Well that’s just brilliant!

I would probably put a jar of this with instructions into a gift basket with a few other things.  But imagine the possibilites:

  • Baby showers (Because the soap is, after all, additive free.  New moms will love learning a budget option to the oh-so-pricey Dreft!)
  • Housewarmings
  • Wedding Gifts (You know this would be great in a stylish basket filled with “Green” cleaning recipes!)
  • Off to College Gifts (Particularly when this soap takes up so much less space than a jug of Tide)

What else can you think of?
